1. I’m currently reading The Women by Kristin Hannah, a story about a Vietnam War nurse, exploring how the war impacts her life and the lives of women often overlooked in historical narratives.
2. On my TBR: The Poet by Louisa Reid - very intrigued and can’t wait to pick this up! (btw, Bookshop.org is an online bookshop that financially supports local, independent bookshops - cya Amazon!)
Everything I read online
3. I don't want to be cool, I just want to be me
4. On keeping a notebook part 1 and part 2
5. babe stop worrying about losing weight, we’re losing our rights
6. Grief Makes Us Time Travelers
7. I want to do everything, so I do nothing
Fashion bits
8. Mango’s capsule collection is stunning, and I'm especially loving this bag (I’m getting married next year). Is it too soon to buy wedding accessories before finding the dress?
9. I’m so beyond tempted by these Aloha boots, someone please tell me I don’t need these 👀
10. I think the’s Lace Sarong’s from Free People are really cute and I’m currently debating which colour I want - perfect to spice up any outfit.
11. M&S fashion is honestly the goat (30s here I come lol) and I love this bag! I’m trying to find this in store to see if it could fit a laptop, which is a must for an everyday bag if you’re a corporate girlie like me.
12. I bought one of these Naked Generation pyjamas second hand and I LOVE it - so comfortable and beautiful quality.
Homeware
13. I got these striped towels from H&M and I’m obsessed - two guest and two bath towels only came to £30 which is a great price in my opinion. And they’re so cute!

Recipes
15. I had Nigella’s Guinness cake at an Irish wedding the other week and it was the best thing I ever ate - just waiting for an occasion to make this. Also side note, as a non British person I was genuinely so confused watching Nigella for the first time LOL but she’s an icon.
16. My partner made this sag alo salmon traybake for me and it was so delicious that we gobbled it all up without taking a photo (I love love love BBC good food).
Things I’ve been listening to
17. I really enjoyed the how to know what’s real podcast series from the Atlantic, which is exploring the shifting boundaries of authenticity, looking at how digital experiences are reshaping our understanding of reality and truth.
18. This song has been my absolute mood-lifter this week. Had it on repeat and bringing serious good vibes - hope it does the same for you!
What I’ve been watching
19. I’m including social media here because I am watching TikTok videos technically, no? Anyways, I’ve been really enjoying some creators on this app and one of them is Moments of Jane who’s documenting simple moments of everyday life as a 70something - I see my future and it’s bright (the queen is also blogging).
20. I, like the rest of the world, recently watched Adolescence, which has genuinely scared me to potentially raise a boy (or a girl for that matter) in this society. On another note, my film obsessed partner geeked out over their one-shot filming techniques, especially that insane car sequence.
Thank you for reading this newsletter, you will hear from me again on Sunday 💌
